Research Theme 3 Workshop Final Report
COE CST 8th Annual Technical Meeting Notice:
In 2016 and 2017, FAA Center of Excellence for Commercial Space Transportation (COE CST) held its Annual Technical Meeting (ATM) the day before the International Symposium for Personal and Commercial Spaceflight (ISPCS) meeting. Despite the best planning efforts on the part of the FAA staff and COE CST members to again schedule the ATM in conjunction with the ISPCS in 2018, due to research task funding delays, it will not be possible to convene the ATM in conjunction with ISPCS this year. Therefore, FAA and COE CST leadership have decided to postpone the meeting until a suitable alternate date can be determined. The FAA and COE CST deeply regret any inconvenience caused by this decision so close to the planned meeting date.

RA1 goals consist of: Safe and equitable sharing of the NAS by air and space
vehicle operators, improved spaceport interoperability & development of
spaceport industry infrastructure, situational awareness and
understanding of risk by resident space objects, and increased understanding
of the space environment.

Feb 6, 2018 - Registration Open for 1st Annual Industry-University Research Area 1 workshop in McLean, Va.
Two separate workshops:
Morning Session: Space Traffic Management and Space Environment
Afternoon Session: National Airspace / Commercial Space Integration and Spaceports
Registrants can attend both workshops, but those with direct interests will be given priority to attend in person. Due to conference room size, there will be a maximum number of 85 per workshop. Skype capability to accommodate the overflow or those who cannot attend in person will be available but registration is required. Registration for Non-US Citizens closes COB 1/26/18 and for US Citizens closes COB 2/2/18.
